Krakowski Oddział Krajowego Towarzystwa Autyzmu (The Krakow Branch of the National Society for Autism)
DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION
200 families of people with autism and related disorders are members of KO KTA (Krakowski Oddział Krajowego Towarzystwa Autyzmu The Krakow Branch of the National Society for Autism). Its activities have a bearing upon the lives of about 600 people (families, professionals and volunteers). KO KTA employs fourteen therapists and consultants on permanent, part-time and single-job contracts. During the period reported, KO KTA continued those projects already underway for a few years and undertook new tasks.
KO KTA is a laureate of the Assistance Programmes for the Disabled competition, organised by The Regional Centre of Social Policy (Regionalny Ośrodek Polityki Społecznej) for the Voivodeship Marshall prize (2000).
The aim of the activities of Krakow Branch of KTA is to improve the well-being of families of persons with autism.
