DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION

It was founded in 1994 by a group of parents of children with autism. The main target groups are both people with autism and their families and specialists working with people with autism.

The main goals of the organization are the following ones:

• To provide social and economic conditions for an optimal development of persons with autism
• To support accessible and appropriate education for all people with autism, regardless their age and profundity of handicap.
• To support integration people with autism into society, to support the equal access to all facilities, services and activities in the community.
• To support the rights of people with autism to vocational training and meaningful employment, with regard to their abilities and individual choice.
• To support accessible and suitable housing for people with autism.
• To enter and cooperate with international organisations supporting the rights of people with autism.
• To support the rights of people with autism on long life special care according to their needs.

To free people with autism from fear of unwarranted incarceration in any restrictive institutions, including psychiatric hospitals. To free people with autism from abusive physical treatment and pharmacological abuse or misuse.
