DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION
The main activities and aims of the Faculty of Psychology are both teaching and research.
Members of the faculty conduct scientific research on cognitive and social functioning of the individuals, as well as on personality of healthy and disabled people. They participate in scientific life in Poland and abroad, publish locally and internationally and give lectures on national and international conferences.
The Faculty of Psychology organises periodical conferences with international guests, which result in monographs including recent results of psychological research.
Recognising current demands our faculty collaborates with the Krakow Branch of The National Society For Autism (Krakowski Oddział Krajowego Towarzystwa Autyzmu) initiating and conducting international conferences, seminaries and workshops dedicated to research on autism and to helping people suffering from it.
In the year 2001, Faculty of Psychology has started in European co-operation realisation of a project entitled On-line Trainautism: Training about disorders of the autistic spectrum (project EAD-TIC).
In the year 2002 our faculty has undertaken intercultural research on personality of adolescents in co-operation with research centres in Ukraine.
